Combine 13 was a Sango kit. Mine came already assembled and painted, but I repainted and weathered it, did some minor repairs, and added passengers.
SR&RL Coach 19-20
Coach 19-20 (the railroad had two identical coaches built) is another Sango kit. If you have looked at the brass loco kits on the locomotives page of this website, you can see that brass rolling stock kits are much less formidable. This was also a Sango kit, and as you can gather from the 'was' of this and the previous Sango combine kit, they are out of production. You'll find them with patience and time on Ebay. These show up less often than the SR&RL brass loco kits. My hypothesis as to why this is, is that when you open up one of these boxes, you're more likely to attempt it, whereas opening a loco kit box has a higher probability of ending up on the 'someday projects' pile in the closet.
SR&RL Parlor Car
Similar comments to the previous comments, like the #13 combine, mine came already assembled, and I re-did it and added passengers. After searching all my sidings, I've discovered that I took mine off the layout, and when I discover where I cleverly hid it, I'll add more photos here. Finally found it, As you can see, unforunately you can see that I couldn't salvage the decals on one side of her. So there's a future project.
SR&RL RPO/Baggage 6
Another out of production Sango kit. Mine, as you can see in the photos, was partially assembled when I found it on Ebay. As you can see, I have a lot of work to do to bring it up to standard. But with all of this out of production stuff for SR&RL in HOn30 that shows up on Ebay, you grab it whenever you can when it shows up, and then give it the love it deserves after you've adopted it. At least with this one, I got the nice surprise of discovering an extra pair of trucks and wheelsets in the box when it showed up.
SR&RL Laconia Coach 17-18
This is a Chris Cardinal kit. Out of production, you'll find them on Ebay. The castings are detailed but need a lot of flash removal. The instructions are detailed with a few pages of print instructions, more pages of drawings, a survey, and a page of instructions for assembling the David M. Hoffmann trucks and wheelsets which are included with the kit. I found two on ebay at the same time on auction from the same seller, and won them both so I can have both #17 and #18. As with coaches 19 and 20, the SR&RL purchased two identical coaches for these two. In the last photo, you'll see small parts in the box that I didn't want to take out and risk losing something. Those are the parts for both kits, not just one, so cut that in half and you'll see what comes with a single kit.
SR&RL RPO #8
This is a C&D Model Engineering kit, also out of production. Patience on Ebay. It has ample instructions. The castings have considerable flash that needs to be removed. A benny of this kit that most don't have is cast brass railings for the end platforms.
SR&RL Combine #15
This is a Kennebunk Models out of production kit. They show up on Ebay from time to time. Flat resin panels need a lot of flash removal. I now carve the flash away, because the usual sanding makes them so thin they're very delicate. They come with cast resin trucks.
SR&RL Coach 19 or 20
This is a Kennebunk Models out of production kit. Watch for them on Ebay. Same comments as the above Combine #15 kit. This one came partially assembled and without instructions. I've had a few different kits from Ebay purchases that don't have instructions, but after you've assembled a couple of various kits, it's pretty easy to figure out where most things go and what to do with them.
WISCASSET, WATERVILLE & FARMINGTON PASSENGER CARS
Chivers Finelines Combine 6 "Taconnet"
This is an out of production kit. They show up on Ebay. The Chivers Finelines kits come with a one-piece cast resin body, with very little flash, and the quality of the casting is pretty outstanding. Photo-etched floor and cast brass trucks, handrails and other details make for a very nice kit.
Chivers Finelines Coach #5
This is very similar to the Taconnet kit, but with a different body.
Poly Mold Combine "Taconnet"
This is an out of production resin kit. I don't know if this was the original box, but there's not label on it, or maybe the label came off over time. As usual with as these old Poly Mold kits, the emulsion glue has become a petrified block.
